2020 CHINESE NATIONAL ROUND FOR INTERNATIONAL CRIMINAL COURT
MOOT COURT COMPETITION (ENGLISH EDITION)
International law has never been so important as it is today. Since jurisdictional issues have become the great concern both officially and academically as well as internationally and domestically, China University of Political Science and Law(CUPL) will hold the annual international symposium 2020 on jurisdiction on March 23-24 immediately after the Chinese National Round for International Criminal Court Moot Court Competition(ICCMCC) on March 21-22, which is a qualification competition for Chinese university teams to participate in ICCMCC(English edition) in the Hague, the Netherlands, in May 2020.
The symposium is open to Chinese and foreign scholars interested in this topic. Applicants are welcomed to submit an abstract with at least 300 English words and CV before 15 February 2020, and the result of the selection will be notified to the applicants before 25 February 2020. The selected applicants are expected to submit the paper for the symposium before 15 March 2020. The paper shall be written in English with at least 5,000 English words including footnotes. It shall be in the WORD format, and has not been published. Good academic papers might be collected into a book and published in English. The selected applicants are also expected to make a presentation on the paper in the symposium. CUPL will offer accommodation and food to the selected applicants. At the same time, the selected applicants are invited to be the judges for the Chinese National Round for the 2020 ICCMCC (English edition). Applicants should indicate in the CV on whether he or she is available for both activities or only one of them.
